Families on Mission seeks to
equip parents to teach their children how to grow in Christ, share Christ with the world around them, and go on mission together. provide a safe environment for children to learn together with their parents and other peers, to ask questions, and dig into God's word. encourage sharing and mission both in individual lives as well as together. We are a group of families seeking to "Look and live more like Jesus everyday, and lead others (including our children) to do the same". How do we do this?
We meet together monthly during the school year.
At these meetings we study God's word:
We share a meal together with some time for everyone to "catch up" and deepen relationships with each other. We meet together to read and discuss scripture We divide into smaller groups of adults, children age 9 and over, and children under age 9 to further study scripture at age appropriate levels. We end with open prayer where children and adults have opportunity to seek the Lord in prayer For more information see "Family Nights" below or contact Bill and Dawn White
We go on mission together throughout the year:
Previous mission opportunities have included
providing backpacks and school supplies to needy families Helping gather and wrap toys and uniforms at Christmas for families in the Laraway school district Working with All God's Children to feed the homeless in Chicago Helping pack food with Hands of Hope ministries in Joliet Check back for more information on upcoming Mission opportunities Launch Photo Gallery
